ERIKA BECK & HENRIKAS TERIS Paintings
18 May until 4 June
Erika has been painting landscapes and plants for many years and has won many awards for her colourful artworks. Erika’s latest paintings are of the tidal landscapes of the South Coast, where rock formation laid down at the time of the formation of the Pacific Ocean are now exposed, forming the cliffs and rockpools next to the sandy beaches we all enjoy. The forthcoming exhibition includes paintings of Beauty Point, where Erika lives and paints, and paintings from her series on Wendy’s Garden in Lavender Bay. Erika and Henrikas have been friends for a long time. Henrikas has painted the Flinders area landscapes. His enthusiasm for the land is evident in the colours he has chosen and he is now branching into local views of his own area – Double Bay – the coffee shops and people around him. Together it is an interesting exhibition on Australian Landscapes.
