Mosman artist Erika Beck looks for the rugged beauty in the landscapes of New South Wales for her inspiration. Erika’s latest paintings are of the tidal landscapes of the South Coast, where rock formation laid down at the time of the formation of the Pacific Ocean are now exposed, forming the cliffs and rockpools next to the sandy beaches we all enjoy.
The forthcoming exhibition includes paintings of Beauty Point, where Erika lives and paints, and paintings from her series on Wendy’s Garden in Lavender Bay.
Erika is an award winning artist with 15 solo and numerous group exhibition. She is the winner of the 2009 North Sydney Open Prize and the winner of the Morrison Star Prize at the Waterbrook Art Exhibition 2010.
