Born in Brisbane in 1948. Studied Fine Arts, Claremont, Western Australia, 1977; Diploma in Education, Sydney Teacher’s College, 1979. Teaching positions include workshops Art Gallery of N.S.W., Royal Arts Society and Workshop Arts Centre, Willoughby. Principal medium acrylics; has exhibited pastels, drawings and collage works. Exhibited since 1983 in solo and groups shows including WAC, Willoughby, Blake Prize for Religious Art,1985; Big Abstract Drawings, Hogarth galleries, 1986; Abstract works on Paper, Blaxland galleries, 1987; An exhibition of drawings with pastels, Mosman Gallery 1988; Amnesty International, painters’ gallery 1990; Visual Instincts, Holdsworth gallery 1990; Delmar gallery, 1991/94. Awarded numerous prizes including Vivienne K. Parker Memorial Art prize, Macquarie university, 1984; Hunter’s Hill Open Art Prize, 1986; Glebe Chamber of Commerce (Joint) prize, 1992; Berrima Open Art Prize, Works on Paper, 1996; Woollahra Waverly Open Art Prize, 1997.
