Sarah was born in Canterbury, UK and now lives and works in Sydney Australia. Sarah studied painting and print-making at the I.M.Marsh College in Liverpool UK in the late 1960’s, and she continued her interest in print-making while living in Perth Australia in the 1970’s. In the 1980’s Sarah moved to Canada where she continued painting and studying art. Since returning to Sydney in 1991 she has taken workshops in painting and drawing at the Ku-ring-gai Arts Centre at Roseville and at the Workshop Arts Centre at Willoughby. Sarah has been exhibiting in Australia since 2002. Sarah works as a contemporary expressionist artist, in oil, acrylic and mixed media. Inspiration for her work comes from the organic forms and colours in the natural landscape, and also from the dynamic movement of the human figure. Her love of exploring the Australian bush, outback and coastline, provides a rich source of material for her current work.
