Reta was born and educated in Switzerland but did all her artistic training in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. After more than 25 years in Africa and the Middle East she moved to Australia where a whole new world opened up for her. Reta has a realistic and a contemporary more abstract style, depending what media she is working in. Currecntly she does a lot of monoprinting, but ever so often she goes back to her “old love batik” that started her artistic career more than 40 years ago in Africa.
