Peter Hey’s inspiration comes from the natural world around us and his research into the history of Australia. His many years of working in the bush and gaining field experience in the natural sciences. He has worked for over 8 years as a metallurgical technician, specialising in smelting and refining precious metals. He has concentrated on the history of Woolloomooloo for this exhibition – his second solo exhibition at gallery41 – the ships, the sandstone and the leaves.
